From AFP Greater Toronto: A message to  Fundraising Day 2020 partners:

Thank you for your interest in and support of Fundraising Day 2020: The Fundraising Frontier. While we were excited to host another great conference and to partner with you, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this event in light of COVID-19.

The health, safety and well-being of our community is of the utmost importance to us at the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter and we feel it is not appropriate to move forward with the conference at this time. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation as new information becomes available to ensure we are following the recommended best practices from health professionals – this includes practicing social distancing to keep our community safe.

We have explored various opportunities to offer the conference as a virtual professional development opportunity, but determined it is best to postpone at this time. Our staff team and volunteer committee worked extremely hard to plan valuable face-to-face networking and learning opportunities, and we feel this decision is within the best interest of our members, conference delegates, vendors and partners. We have decided to postpone the conference until next year – June 1, 2021. We know that many of you were looking forward to this event and so we hope that you’ll save the date.

As a valued partner, we would like to offer you the opportunity to work with us in providing delegates with a great Fundraising Day program for 2021 and would also like to offer you the opportunity to partner with us on Congress this year – currently on schedule for November 23-25, 2020 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

We are happy to work with you on a custom approach for engaging with delegates and the AFP global audience and will reach out to each of you to connect virtually over the coming days to discuss different options and opportunities.

We greatly appreciate your continued support, patience and understanding during this difficult time. It would not be possible for us to provide the same kind of education, training and tools to our members without the help of our partners and for that we are extremely grateful.

On behalf of all of us at the AFP Greater Toronto Chapter, thank you and take care.
